SUNDAY CLUB Prize Giving and BBQ
We had a wonderful day yesterday, Sunday 27 June,
at the Sunday Club prize giving. The children took part in
our all age worship by reading and singing; and then at the end were
presented with their prizes. This year every child received a Bible
that was appropriate to their age and stage. We wanted children to have
Bible that they felt they could read and enjoy - and not just have as a
momento of their chirstening. Judging by the reaction of the
children (and their parents) we got that right! One boy looked at his
and then finding the right page, took it proudly to show the minister,
Peter Thomson!
After worship, we enjoyed a BBQ and then games. (See photo
gallery for photos.) Thank you to everyone who helepd make the
day special.
Summer
Sunday Club continues throughout the school holidays until the
Holiday Club. (Sunday 8 August - 15 August.)
Sunday Club starts again on Sunday 22 August.
CrecheA new departure is the re-start of the creche for babies and toddlers. They leave the servce at the same time as the Sunday Club leaves on Sunday mornings and are cared for in the Hub.
We would like to make it known that we have this facility at church so that families with young children can easily attend! And we would also like to ask for more volunteers to help look after the children. (Such helpers would require to complete Disclosure Scotland procedures but this is easily facilitated in our church.)
