BANKFOOT CHURCH PRAYER DIARY – FEBRUARY 2012

Have you not heard? The Lord is an everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary and His understanding no-one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak, Isaiah 40: 28, 29

SUNDAY
Let us give thanks to God for His grace, mercy and love towards us. Thank Him that we can have this remarkable relationship with Him and even be used by Him in furthering His good purposes for us, our church, the community we live in and the world. Ask Him to enable us to be what He wants us to be.

MONDAY
As we are grateful to God for all His goodness, let us also ask Him to forgive us when we do fail and let Him down. May we be conscious that God does forgive us when we come to Him and He can restore us again. Pray that we may be more aware of how our behaviour can affect those around us, in our families, our church and our community and ask that we may be a help and blessing to all.

TUESDAY
We give thanks for the way that the process of finding our new minister is progressing. Pray on for all those involved - the nomination committee as they process the applicants to become our minister and the applicant who will eventually be appointed - that God will continue to guide and lead to the person of His choice.

WEDNESDAY
Give thanks for Bob Sloan and his ministry to us in this period of vacancy. Give thanks too for others who will be ministering to us this month. Pray for each one that they may know God’s help and anointing as they prepare.

THURSDAY
This month we pray especially for Paula Matthew who had surgery on 23 January to remove wisdom teeth. Pray for a good and full recovery and for strength and wisdom to fulfil her ministry in the school and in the church. Pray too for all involved in children’s ministry in our church.

FRIDAY
Pray for all that goes on in our church building throughout the week – the Day Care Centre; the Mothers and Toddlers; the various groups that use the facilities; the café which is a regular meeting place for so many. May all be done to show that the church is there for people. May many join us to worship God on Sundays.

SATURDAY
Many in the village are unwell or in hospital or are grieving at this time and we remember them. May God draw near and bless them with His peace.
